Kateri Tekakwitha

Saint Kateri Tekakwitha was canonized in Rome on Sunday October 21, 2012.  Below are resources to help staff and students become more familiar with Saint Kateri’s life, Christian witness and importance as a saint of First Nation heritage.

School Morning Announcements and Prayers
Morning Announcements and Prayers to Prepare for the Canonization of Kateri Tekakwitha
(Originally prepared as a series of nine morning announcements with a prayer, leading up to St. Kateri’s canonization.   They can be adapted, combined or used as the basis for a school prayer service – please use as you see fit. Catholic schools with a First Nations population may find these daily announcements and prayers helpful)
